North East Link Early Works

Borlase Street, Yallambie

Client:

Quinn Civil

Project Value:

$1 million

Scope:

GLE was contracted by Quinn Civil Contractors to construct multiple pressure reducing station (PRS) installations as part of critical service relocation works ahead of major freeway infrastructure upgrades. Scope of works at each PRS site included the fabrication and installation of complex mild steel pipe spooling, with diameters ranging from DN100 to DN900, designed to accommodate high-pressure water transmission. Each station integrated multiple valve assemblies, bypass arrangements, and pressure regulation components to meet operational and redundancy requirements. In addition to mechanical installations, GLE completed associated civil works including reinforced concrete valve pits, structural floor slabs, and custom valve enclosures. Electrical and communications infrastructure was also installed to support SCADA integration, including underground conduits and provisions for telemetry systems.
