Scope:
GLE deployed multiple crews to support the construction of 8 km of 500 mm PN35 steel pipeline, 7 km of 200 mm PE pipeline, and the installation of over 50 valve assemblies. Constructed by Jaydo in 2018, the 30 km pipeline was developed to secure a reliable water supply for the South Gippsland region. The alignment wound its way through the region’s rolling green hills and was completed within a single summer construction season with the help of multiple pipeline crews from GLE. Installation was primarily conducted via open cut trenching, complemented by over 20 trench-less crossings—including horizontal directional drilling and microtunnelling—under roads, rail lines, and waterways.
